An Old Gosiwon in Seoul

No. It's a kind of single room occupancy with making your share-house contract. We also accept a short term residence in a way (but we are not allowed to provide hotel services or guest-house services). So you can use officially address to report 'Resident Registration' if necessary, and you can also use delivery service or mail service like your home.

You need to prepare *a pair of indoor shoes*, toiletries, a pillow and blankets, and your necessary things. Maybe you can ask us to lend some of them if available.

Now a few of mordern Gosiwon have been appeared, yet mostly there are still little rooms, narrow hallways, gypsum board walls, messy, noisy, losing color, and frequently broken. So it could be a huge challenge if you haven't known them well. But I'm trying to change many parts against some obstacles. Maybe now it can be better having a little personal room than using a dormitory beyond complicated obscure contract with local people.

You need to show your ID card(or passport) and to fill in a couple of pages. And you should pay before using. (We're making online payment service. It's not ready yet.) You can provide some money in advance before using it if you don't want to lose it. Then we make it sure to be empty before your coming.

Good approach to use mass transportation (5 min's walking to 3 bus stops and 2 subway stations) and it covers most popular areas in Seoul within base rate. We share many things that can cut your budget a lot at once.

We have still quite old parts of the ancient(?) Gosiwon style (gypsum boards), yet we keep upgrading them. It's quite bad for noisy and even you can hear dog barking downstairs (one dog cafe) in the daytime, and a little pub at weekend night. It can depend on your luck (time, season, and so on).
